Tiene un inter\u00e9s general en la ecolog\u00eda, pero su \u00e1rea central de investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 en la ecolog\u00eda de invasiones. Tambi\u00e9n ha desarrollado numerosos estudios de la biota del suelo en relaci\u00f3n a la invasi\u00f3n de \u00e1rboles ex\u00f3ticos. \u00a0Ha completado investigaciones doctorales en la University of Tennessee. Ha desarrollado actividades de investigaci\u00f3n en la University of Houston\u00a0 y la University of Central Florida. \u00a0Actualmente se desempe\u00f1a como Editor en Jefe de la revista Journal of Applied Ecology de la British Ecological Society. Ha publicado m\u00e1s de 140 art\u00edculos en revistas nacionales e internacionales y numerosos art\u00edculos t\u00e9cnicos y de divulgaci\u00f3n. Desde 2017, es Profesor del Departamento de Ecolog\u00eda del CRUB, Universidad Nacional del Comahue dictando los cursos de <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/gepinsectos\/actdocente\/ecol-comport?authuser=0\">&#8220;Ecolog\u00eda de las invasiones&#8221;<\/a> y \u201cecolog\u00eda aplicada&#8221;.
